The Department of Posts is filling 28,636 vacancies (some sources list up to 28,740 depending on late circle updates) for three primary roles:
- Branch Postmaster (BPM)
- Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)
- Dak Sevak
Selection Process & Salary
There is no written exam or interview. Selection is strictly merit-based, calculated using your 10th-grade marks (up to four decimal places).
Salary Structure (TRCA):
- BPM: ₹12,000 – ₹29,380
- ABPM/Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470

| Eligibility Criteria |
| Education: Must have passed 10th Standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English. Language: You must have studied the local language of your applied postal circle at least up to the 10th standard. Age (as of Jan 1, 2026): 18 to 40 years. Relaxation: OBC (+3 years), SC/ST (+5 years), PwD (+10 years). Skills: Basic computer knowledge and the ability to ride a bicycle are mandatory. |
How to Apply

- Step 2 (Apply Online): Fill in your personal details and 10th-grade marks exactly as they appear on your certificate.
- Step 3 (Fee Payment): ₹100 for General/OBC/EWS males. (Exempted for all females, SC/ST, and PwD).
- Step 4 (Uploads): Keep a scanned photo (up to 50kb) and signature (up to 20kb) ready in JPG format.
